Shades of Honey will be screening a community movie in collaboration with @shopatmatter ❤️. They have four options for you to choose from:

3. “Blood Quantum” by Indigenous/ Mi'kmaq filmmaker Jeff Barnaby

DINNER WITH THE SHADES OF HONEY HIVE
Come celebrate our 3rd birthday by having “Dinner with Shades!🐝🎊” We will be dining and gathering at the Mango House located at 10180 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80010 from 6:00-8:00pm on Saturday, October 15th.
Be sure to bring your appetite and join the Shades of Honey team for an evening of delicious bites and community connection! We cannot wait to see and celebrate with you all next weekend✨

October will be our Libra event as well as our spooky Halloween event. Rainbow Dome and Shades of Honey are collaborating for our 3rd Birthday Party! Join us for cake, vendors, food trucks and more! Mark your calendars for a spook-tastic time!
Open skating from 3pm-10pm. Shades of Honey will be in the building from 7-10pm! Skate rentals free with entry on a first come first served basis. All ages welcome, children must be supervised.

The Renée Crown Wellness Institute officially opened in August 2019 with a joyful celebration and community gathering to affirm our deep commitment to building a world in which health and wellness are valued, promoted and protected for all children and youth. Art Meets Data Lecture Series
Next Tuesday October 11 at 3pm, Kalonji Nzinga will be giving an e-lecture/workshop entitled The Rhythm & Flow of Theory: Hip-Hop Storytelling as Fugitive Research Method. This wider lecture series curated by Dr. Stephanie Toliver called "Art Meets Data: A Lecture Series on Creative Research Methods." Kalonji’s talk is dedicated to exploring the theory of the lyrical genius Ms. Lauryn Hill aka L-Boogie; and also how we can incorporate the ethos & process of the hip-hop language arts into our research methods.
